The Nishan Reservoir water storage project mainly utilizes the water storage capacity of the Sihe River main stream reservoir and dams to replenish the Nishan Reservoir and regulate the ecological environment. Nishan Reservoir is a reservoir primarily for flood control, but also serving irrigation and aquaculture purposes. Due to drought and upstream river closures, its water storage capacity has gradually weakened. This project will effectively control downstream river flow, restore the reservoir's surface area, create a scenic water system, and optimize the ecological environment by transferring water from the Si River to the reservoir area. It will provide a favorable environment for the Nishan World Cultural Forum and is of great significance for the ecological regulation of the tourist city.
